Big Photo Frame Widget

Android features a standard widget for displaying the pictures of your choice on your desktop, it’s a good and frequently used widget by all Android users (which means used more and more each day !).

The only thing missing from the standard widget is its only 2×2 size available. By using recent alternative launchers (ADW Launcher / LauncherPro Plus) you can resize the widget on your home screen but picture scaling is very poor.

The idea behing Big Photo Frame Widget is to fix the scaling issue of the original widget and to provide different sizes : 2×3 / 3×2 / 3×3 / 4×4. By the way, the widget is free, but if you want to support me, don’t hesitate to hit the donate link !

    Hi!
    I really would like to get this widget working. I have a flytouch android tablet (android 2.2). When I try to save without croping the image nothing happens. When I try to crop the image and then save the picture it gives me an error message saying “Create crop bitmap fail. Out of memory?

    Additional sizes — 4×2, 5×4 especially — would make this complete for me :-)

    Great app. Thanks! You should consider adding information of picture resolution – I want to prepare picture on my pc but have no idea what resolution and aspect ratio is the best for 4×4 widget.

    I am having issues of a “force shutdown” with you widget app for my Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II. I have tried to uninstall and installed the app numerous times with same results. Any suggestions? Thank you.
